Crude Prices Fall Back After IEA Forecasts Sharp Drop in Oil Demand
The IEA forecast the biggest global oil demand drop since Covid-19 due to high prices and restricted supply, while raising this year’s global oil deficit to 1.7 million bpd from 1.3 million bpd and pushing the return to a global surplus to 2027, after which October WTI crude (CLV26) fell 2.43% to close and October RBOB gasoline (RBV26) fell 2.53%.
